Delete Your Account
You can request deletion of your Start With God account and all associated personal data at any time.
How to Request
The fastest way is from inside the app: Settings → Delete Account. The deletion is immediate, removes all your data from our database, and cannot be undone.
If you no longer have the app installed, send us an email directly:
startwithgod.legal@protonmail.com
Use the subject line “Account Deletion Request” and include the email address you used to sign in to the app. That’s how we identify your account.
What Gets Deleted
When we process your request, we permanently delete the following from our systems:
- Your account record (name, email, sign-in identifier).
- All prayer items you’ve created (active and archived).
- Your streak history, session records, and earned badges.
- Saved contacts and prayer relationships you’ve added.
- Notification preferences and any other personal settings.
What Is Retained
For legal, fraud-prevention, and accounting reasons, a small set of records are retained outside our control:
- Subscription & payment records — held by Apple App Store, Google Play, or RevenueCat per their policies. Cancel any active subscription through your App Store or Play Store settings before requesting deletion to avoid further charges.
- Anonymized crash reports — if any crash logs were submitted from your device, they remain in aggregate diagnostics with no link back to your identity.
How Long It Takes
In-app deletion is immediate. Email-based deletion requests are processed within 7 days of receipt; you’ll get a confirmation reply once it’s done.
