How do subscriptions work?
Start With God offers a subscription that unlocks the full devotional library and Premium features. After a 14-day free trial, the subscription is $2.99/month or $29.99/year, billed through your Apple ID or Google account. It auto-renews until cancelled.
How do I cancel my subscription?
iPhone or iPad: open Settings → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → select Start With God → Cancel Subscription.
Android: open the Google Play Store → tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → select Start With God → Cancel subscription.
Your access continues until the end of your current billing period.
How do I restore a purchase on a new device?
Sign in to Start With God using the same account you used when you subscribed. In the app, go to Settings → Subscription → Restore Purchases. Your subscription will be recognized within a few seconds.
I’m having trouble logging in.
Most sign-in issues are solved by closing the app fully and reopening it, or by making sure you’re connected to a stable network. If you still can’t get in, email us with the email address you signed up with and we’ll sort it out.
What Bible translation does the app use?
All Scripture in Start With God is quoted from the English Standard Version (ESV). We use ESV exclusively to keep the devotional language consistent and theologically precise.
Are my prayer requests private?
Yes. Your personal prayer list and your prayers for others are stored securely on your account and are never shared, sold, or visible to anyone but you. See our Privacy Policy for details.
How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account and all associated data from inside the app: Settings → Delete Account. The deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
If you no longer have the app installed, you can also request deletion from our account deletion page.
I signed up with Apple. Why does my email look like xyz@privaterelay.appleid.com?
When you sign in with Apple and choose “Hide My Email,” Apple creates a private relay address for you. We can email that address — Apple forwards it to your real inbox — but we never see your actual email. This is by design and protects your privacy. It’s the same address whether you’re contacting support or asking us to delete your account.
If you email us for support, please tap Settings → Contact Support inside the app instead of writing directly. The in-app option auto-includes your account ID so we can find you instantly.
The app crashed or something looks wrong.
Sorry about that. Please email us with your device model, the app version (shown at the bottom of the Settings screen), and a brief description of what you were doing when it happened. Screenshots help a lot.
